Customers have already requested more than $250 million in advertising payment volume through the Ad Pay waitlist.

Opal, the financial platform built for advertising spend, today announced Ad Pay, a new product that gives agencies and brands a more flexible way to pay Meta and Google advertising invoices with a credit card. Opal is now accepting applications for the Ad Pay waitlist.

Since opening the waitlist, customers have already requested to process more than $250 million in advertising payment volume through Ad Pay.

As Meta and Google have shifted many large advertisers to monthly invoice billing, businesses have lost the flexibility of paying by credit card. Instead, many invoices are paid through bank transfers that tie up working capital, reduce cash flow flexibility and eliminate card rewards.

Ad Pay brings that flexibility back. The product automatically detects supported invoices, surfaces upcoming balances and due dates, and allows teams to review, fund and submit payments from a single workflow using Opal credit or a connected business credit card.

"Large advertisers should not have to choose between scaling their campaigns and maintaining control of their cash," said Alex Steele, founder and CEO of Opal. "Ad Pay gives agencies and brands a more flexible way to manage some of their largest recurring expenses. They can see what's due, choose how to pay, and keep more capital available to invest in growth."

How Ad Pay Works

Advertising invoices are among the largest recurring expenses for agencies, ecommerce companies and performance marketing teams. Managing those payments across multiple accounts, due dates and funding sources creates operational complexity while putting additional pressure on working capital.

Ad Pay simplifies that process with four core capabilities:

  • Automatic invoice detection: Identifies supported Meta and Google invoices from a connected email account and displays upcoming balances and due dates in one place.

  • Flexible funding: Choose between available Opal credit or a connected business credit card for each payment.

  • Centralized payment tracking: Submit payments and monitor payment status from a single workflow.

  • Extended cash flow: Customers using Opal credit may receive up to 55 days before payment is due, depending on transaction timing and applicable account terms.

Beyond simplifying payments, Ad Pay helps teams spend less time searching inboxes, tracking due dates and confirming payment status. A shared view of advertising obligations also makes it easier to coordinate large payments without relying on spreadsheets or manual processes.

Pricing

Payments funded with Opal credit are currently subject to a 3% processing fee. Payments funded with a connected business credit card are currently subject to a 3.5% processing fee. Fees, rewards and eligibility are subject to applicable program and account terms.
